WEST POINT CADETS RETURN TO NOLA
This story comes to us by way of our friends at Hike for KaTREEna in New Orleans.
West Point Cadets traveled to New Orleans for the fourth time during their Spring Break. They planted 150 trees with students from the University of Notre Dame for Phase One of the replanting of Lakeshore Drive. They also assisted the City of New Orleans Parks and Parkways Department by planting 75 crepe myrtle trees on Winser and DeSaix Blvds.
The Lakeview Civic Improvement Association, led by Greenspace Committee co-chairman Al Petrie, coordinated numerous plantings throughout Lakeview.
Thank you West Point Cadets for your continued service to our country and New Orleans!
